  • I am located at 31275 Northwestern Hwy at the corner of Northwestern and 13 Mile Rd in Farmington Hills. The building I am located in is called “Woodcreek Office Center.”

  • Online therapy is basically the same as regular therapy, except it happens online instead of in my office. Sessions are typically an hour long. They may take place weekly, or at whatever frequency we decide on. Many people find online therapy convenient because it allows you to meet during your work day without having to add in drive time!

  • I do offer in-person sessions to people who prefer face to face; or, do not have a space that is private for our sessions. Some people like to meet in person the first time and then transition to online as it allows us to at least meet each other face to face one time!

  • My initial session fee is $200.

Following sessions after the initial session are billed out at $165 for 60 mins.

  • Effective January 1, 2022, a ruling went into effect called the "No Surprises Act" which requires practitioners to provide a "Good Faith Estimate" about out-of-network care. Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act (PHSA), health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in an insurance plan or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan, that upon request they are entitled to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" of expected charges. Note: The PHSA and GFE does not currently apply to clients who are using insurance benefits, including "out of network benefits'' (i.e., submitting superbills to insurance for reimbursement). For more information about the No Surprises Act, and your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

  • You should expect to have at least a sense of whether we are a good fit and you should feel as if your biggest questions and concerns are addressed during our first appointment. I will ask you broad stroke questions about yourself, your family, your life experiences and what you want to get out of our work together.

  • It depends! Everyone is different. We will most likely start out meeting weekly and then eventually transition to meeting on a schedule that we determine together is best for you.

  • The best way to get a hold of me to book an appointment is to email me at: colleen@colleencranemsw.com or complete my contact form.

If you are a current client we will discuss during our initial session ways to get a hold of me after hours.

  • I kindly request that you give me at least 24 hours notice regarding cancellation. If you no-show/no-call chronically, we will discuss how to move forward in our work together. If you cancel less than 24 hours before our session, I bill $82.50, which is not covered by insurance.

  • There are a few specific and clear instances when I am are required to report personal information about my clients:

    1. If you pose a danger to yourself or others

    2. If I suspect the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult

    3. If I am legally forced to by court order
